The People's Choice winner will count as one vote on the Judge's panel. The winner of the Judges pick will be flown to the 2010 LA Film Festival, receive $1000 cash each and potentially have their film submitted film festivals all over the county.
How to win the People's Choice
You can win the People's Choice by racking up the most votes for your video! Here's how to do it:
- Choose a subject matter for your film that truly moves you – it will come across in your work.
- Tell your friends and family to go to your video and vote for it.
- Post to Facebook to share your video with all your Facebook friends.
- Share your video on delicious and Digg to get more viewers and build support.
- Send a tweet to all your Twitter followers so they can vote for you. Tweet your video often so your followers will know you are serious about having your video selected. Don't forget to include the hashtag #ban! in your tweet.
- Write a post about your video on your blog. Your readers love you already – they'll be psyched to throw you a vote. Make sure you include "Ban Asbestos Now" somewhere in your blog post so that it will appear in searches.
- Find other blog posts and news items that are relevant to asbestos and comment on them, adding a link to your video.
